[quote="AllenCecil"]What's the standard command for the PC to save a screenshot for upload?[/quote

 Use https://postimage.org/ to upload an image and save the direct image's choice of URL.

For Steam under Windows, try F12 or the PrtScrn key.
For Mac and Linux it depends on your keybindings and installed software.

 Actually, I assumed that was already known but ...

 That only saves the image in a buffer .. you still have to save the image as a file to post it.

Save the image How I do that using an OpenOffice text file:

---1. Use or create an OpenOffice table cell in the text file.
---2. Save (paste = Ctl-V) the image in the table cell.
---3. Right click the image in the table cell to generate a dropdown menu.
---4. Select Save Graphics and give it a location and a name ... Done.

 I published in Academia.edu Neverwhere and How OpenOffice Neverwhere was created.

--- :!: The above save image method was done there with lots of graphics and supporting text.

@ Moneyman: You're right, F12 saves the image to Steam's my username Activity folder. If I then save the image to http://postimage.org/ will it then post to the designated location?

 We're getting there ...

What you need to understand

 The forum requires a URL text to point to a web site which you select (i.e. highlight) and press the img button.

1. You need to copy the image's description (i.e. its pixels) into your computer's temporary save location.

--- That is what the Prt Scr button does .. its not always F!2 .. it could be something else.

2. You need to move your computer's temporary save location into an image file.

--- So you have a place to browse to using the https://postimage.org/ website.

----- The table cell technique does this for you.

--- Doing https://postimage.org/ saves the image you selected in many different web addresses.

----- The forum's img button likes the direct (choice) web address.

------ That is the URL text you to write down to use when you post.

 Its a bit complicated, at first, but all it comes second nature soon enough. Hope this helps. :)
