Squaring up a color plot
I have just returned to game. I played a year ago and have forgotten much. What I need at the moment is the method/process to square up the colored plot I am trying t o develop. I read somewhere or someone told me how to do it so your t ransport lines would follow the line of the plot. I can not find it or remember it. Please help if you can.
Re: Squaring up a color plot
You can adjust the position of the plots by using the offsetoverlay Ship's Computer command:

This will allow you to plan TGs around the plot, sort of.
BUT... it is not possible to adjust the orientation of the plot; i.e. you cannot 'square them up'. Because the overlay is trying to wrap a ball with a piece of paper, the orientation of the plots will become more off the North-South/East-West orientation as you venture nearer the poles of the planet. This effect will be more pronounced as well on smaller planets and moons.
