Game is losing info like samplemaps and maininstruction

Postby darkwhistle » Thu Jul 12, 2018 1:47 pm

Yesterday I lost my maininstruction setup. Not a big deal to re-enter, but if I have to do it constantly that will amount to a problem. Today, the samplemapoverlays of my two remaining colonies have been lost:
"Dave6000: You have no sample map of this planetary body."
That is quickly going to amount to a huge problem for people who want to form new colonies and, incidentally, spend more SC.

After entering command show mb.samplemaps it doesn't show any of the many samplemaps I had made.

JAM did you change the way the game is loading information to the client? There used to be a repeatable moment early in the play process where the game would freeze up for a minute or two or more, which seemed to me to be the occasion where the server was instructing the client stored information about the player like maininstructions and samplemaps. Now that freeze doesn't occur.

Id rather keep the freeze and my samplemaps than lose both

Which client is this in? You will see the version number lower left at the log in screen.

1.4. I'll move to the new client when the mining beam is fixed.
