Many thanks for producing the excellent NPC COMM tool, RAM.

It makes talking to NPC so much more efficient.

Now, may be I can give them the correct orders for them to ignore. :mrgreen:

seems like forgeting the s in "empty holds" make them delete the route instead:

Rename your ship now works. It takes a refresh before you can see it, so if you are right next to the ship, it will not update until your client updates by a restart or jump to a new system and back. Not sure it will carry capitalization. Still waiting to see if that worked yet. WIll be adding a way to ask the name soon. Wanted to get this working first then it will be added.

Rename your ship ___________.
Rename your ship RAM is cool.

This will allow for updating fleet/route names and any banner ships one may want to post at the SS.

There is also a reset for stuck or confused NPC.

Return to starbase.

This will cancel any orders and the NPC and ship will appear at your ISB ready for new orders. They do not disembark from the ship, just get it back to where you can route it again. This is for any ships glitched or stuck in systems without gates.

A few more things are coming down line.

So what is the command to park a ship at a SS? I know I am supposed to know this, but have never done it. I was trying to do it at SS Archon and could not get him to park there when I was debugging the ship name change issue with Jam.

The ship name change does not happen immediately. It has to refresh at the 15 minute NPC update, so if you are expecting an immediate change, you will be sitting and waiting for the 15 minute update to go through, then refresh the client like a gate jump or restart.

If someone knows, please only share it in PM to RAM and not open for all to see and abuse. New NPCs parked at SS is the last thing we need. More frequent collisions with gamefreeze/0.1 fps when undocking as a result, and random "chat with NPC" boxes appearing when clicking through the SS menu is something we should try and avoid.

Jam said he would consider adding that to the daily batch file for players without SC once we can get the player base back up. He is planning a couple other things that might come before a new client. One you all will really like.
