Just picked up the game last night and enjoyed it. After reading the state of the game, I really hope things pick up. It's always good to see the "little" guy succeed with an ambitious game like this. Looking forward to Bounty hunting - hell I already renamed my ship Slave I. The game has generally high reviews on Steam so hopefully that will snowball for you guys. Keep us updated. I'll recommend to friends. This will be my cathartic game - the Yin to my PvP game Yang. You need balance!

Just got the game....

I would like to get a DLC upgrade, but only noticed two ships, both of which were either too basic or too big..

Maybe you could offer something in the middle, or have a credit starter pack for $20.
All in the spirit of helping the devs.

I will look around for a subscription.

Peace

If you want to buy something extra but don't want either of the DLC ships, you can also purchase Stellar Credits from within the game. These are eventually necessary for colonies and starbases.

Actually, I thought it was best just to buy both the DLC's and sell the ships in game for some startup cash.
I'm torn about getting too much stuff early on, so I have a Kraken now and will just figure out the game using that ship for a while.

I sold the Hawk, but still have the Bowhead - not sure what a fair price I should ask for it is?

I am about to buy the game and just wanted to post how I feel about buying into a game like this.

Like this meaning indie, very small development team, on Steam, and just out of Early Access.

I am tired of throwing my money at games that have great potential and are moving in a direction that would end up being a great game but then the developers either end up moving on to a different game or just stop putting the effort into the game that they initially had. I think this is why sales haven't been better thus far. Too many people too tired of getting burnt, especially with Steam games.

I hope this doesn't end up being the case with Ascent and I look forward to seeing you in game shortly.
