Presidential Color

Now, perhaps recognition of one player means that we should recognize other players in this way as well, and that is certainly a topic I'd be happy to discuss; What qualifies a player for that recognition? Is it a player-voted thing where the community as one say "We feel this person deserves recognition"? I don't have an answer, but I'm willing to discuss it.

I have been thinking about this for a while. Although our president has been inactive, I think all who are or have been elected President should have a unique color.

"Hey, why is that person's chat color tangerine?"

"Oh, he was elected President back when."

It would be nice for them to be recognized in game some how.

I like this idea, but I would limit it to "active/current" position(s) only

I don't think a different color is necessary for any rank other than President, but I think President could definitely use one! Gold perhaps!

I like recognizing previous Presidents also. I would love for Johneaux to turn pink when he comes on. One thing I noticed, I do not see the different color. Mine shows the same color for myself that everyone else sees for themself. I didn't even know it was done until others started telling me. I don't need to see it, but it would be nice for the Presidents to see their color if and when this happens. I am sure we will all tell them if that doesn't get added.

Maybe the current President could suggest a color. Been missing Hubes of late. Hope he is doing okay. See what happens when he is not around for me to pick on, or him to keep me in line?

The only reason I suggested to only do it for (current) ones is because after a while lots of people will have a name color and chat will look like rainbow bright, which could be more distracting than meaningful. I don't think past Presidents should be less respected by any means but....

The current President should have his/her own colour. Past presidents should as well but not the same as the current one.

That indeed sounds like a cool feature!
For example I am a new player and I didn't even know there are political positions.
A color and a certain tag can make things more interesting. In a different MMO I play that also has a political system a written rank and a little icon present at the players profile show the ranks, e.g: King (a little crown) raw1990.
