Bits and pieces

Postby Moneyman » Sat Dec 10, 2016 5:09 pm

Completely revised: June 23, 2017

:ugeek: Explanation of my posting style in link: http://forum.thespacegame.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3166&p=29097#p29097.

Players who don't like my style of posting should stop reading and avoid the irritation.

About I'm acting as support to other players shipbuilding efforts.

I'm a supplier to players who mine exotics and have an extensive shipbuilding business.

… My shipbuilding production replaces exotic material through barter.

See Thread content below … This lead post is just a table-of-contents.

This post's content Think of this thread as a four page flier on goods available.

Foreword .......... My barter terms for shipbuilders and individual players.
Desired ............. Some Yeti module bps are not available to me.
Thread content . This shop divides its information into separate (thread posts) locations

Foreword My barter terms for shipbuilders and individual players..

My main focus in this game is new player support and retention as players in this game.

I've discovered many unnecessary difficulties including inflationary price tendencies.

To avoid more inflation, I barter 125% of the niobium, tin used in producing ships.

… This is a volume discount for shipbuilders: At least 5 ships or 10 modules exchanged.

See Mooncrest's shop thread barter terms for individual players. http://forum.thespacegame.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1131

New players can take possession and mine materials for payment, as is convenient for them.

Desired Some Yeti module bps are not available to me.

I will exchange a standard player Yeti without HD (HD: 125% of n/t required) for:

2 each of: Electronics, Gravity Generator, Propulsion, Reactor modules

Thread content This shop divides its information into separate (thread posts) locations.

The idea is that you look at only the information important to you. Post sequence:

2. Barter ........ The only way to deal with spiraling exotic material prices.
3. Available ... Archon and Yeti ships and modules kept on hand.
4. Build-able . List by module name and bps class(s) available

 About The only way to deal with spiraling exotic material prices.

This post's content How does niobium and tin prices compare to other prices?.

Barter ........ Game $$$ is severely de-valued due to exotic material inflation.
Standards . Inner planets Local Market standard materials prices.
Special ...... Stock Market specialized use materials.
Contracts .. Inner planets Contract Board niobium and tin buy ranges.

Barter Game $$$ is severely de-valued due to exotic material inflation.

See my other thread. Are exotic material prices fair? http://forum.thespacegame.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=3426

Compare class 10 ship prices to class 11 ship prices to class 12 ship prices, etc.

… The reason for the huge differences in prices is the cost to acquire niobium and tin.

Standards Inner planets Local Market standard materials prices.

Apollo . Meat . 400 ... Pomona ...... Fruit .............110 ... Veritas . Titanium ,,,. 675
Ceres . Grain ... 80 .. Sol Invictus . Carbon ........ 825 ... Vestra .. Aluminum . 400
.................................. Ubertas ....... Vegetables . 200 ... Vulcan .. Iron .......... 110

Special Stock Market specialized use materials.

Antimony . Gems . Hydrogen ... Niobium .. Oxygen ........ Silicon . Uranium . Yttium
CO2 ......... Gold .. Magnesium . Nitrogen . Promethium . Tin ....... Water

In the real world, Aluminum and Tin would be in the same price range.

So where is Lime and Silver? Silicon is just sand and ought to be easy to acquire.

Barter is the only way to insulate yourself against the ship price spiral upward.

Contracts Inner planets Contract Board niobium and tin buy ranges

NPC Contract Boards buy Niobium between ¢19,000 and ¢22,000 per unit
NPC Contract Boards buy Tin between ¢5,000 to ¢9,000 per unit.

Player Stock Markets sell Uranium between ¢1,000 to ¢3,000 per unit. Isn't Local Market tin a bit high?

Of course, the current market price for Niobium and Tin is actually $150k and higher.

With prices like the above for Niobium and Tin … barter makes a lot of sense.

What is the point of the Local Market buys? Only freshly-minted players would sell on the LM.

Barter has one additional strong point, it can change exotic material scarcity.

 About Archon and Yeti ships and modules kept on hand.

Shipbuilder barter exchange For 125% (each) of embedded niobium and tin.

ISB (Apollo) ............ Player: 7 Archon with HD ............... 12.6k niobium + 12.6k tin

Ceres ..... Class 13 . Capacitor, Computer, Hyperdrive .... Inventory

Pomona . Class 1 .... 20+ Axial CO2 laser, 20+ Shield .... $1 … from stripping

Ubertas . Class 8 ..... 13 Armour panels, 9 Capacitor, ...... Inventory
.................................... 8 Hyperdrive, 10 Reactor
.................................. 11 Shield, 2 Warp drives

Veritas ... Class 11 ..... 5 Gravity Generator ...................... Inventory

Single purchase see : Mooncrest http://forum.thespacegame.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1131

Player Archon ship modules: Use of niobium and tin.

Axial co2 laser .. .4 niobium + .4 tin .. Gravity Generator ... 2048.1 . niobium + 2048.1 tin
Mining beam ..... .4 niobium + .4 tin .. Warp drive .............. 1706.75 niobium + 1706.75 tin
Ram scoop ....... .6 niobium + .6 tin .. Capacitor ................. 2048.1 . niobium + 2048.1 tin
Salvage beam .. .4 niobium + .4 tin .. Reactor .................... 2048.1 . niobium + 2048.1 tin
........................ 1.8 .............. 1.8 ......................................... 7851.05 ................ 7851.05

Superconducting coils .. .1 Electronics + .1 Mech parts + .8 niobium + .8 tin + .2 carbon

… 125% (1.2 niobium + 1.2 tin) = 1.5 niobium + 1.5 tin for 1.5 Superconducting coils

Gem scanner .. .2 Electronics + .2 Antimony + 1.5 Superconducting coils + .1 Titanium

… 1 Antimony = 1 niobium + 1 tin ... I have plenty of Antimony supply so prefer: 1 niobium + 1 tin

… 125% (.2 + 1.5) = 2.125 So 2.2 niobium + 2.2 tin for a class 1 Gem scanner module.

Archon without Hyperdrive calculation Shipbuilder price each: 10k niobium + 10k tin

… 125% (7855.05 = 1.8 + 7851.05 + 2.2) = 9819.375 niobium + 9819.375 tin

Archon Hyperdrive Shipbuilder price each: 2.6k niobium + 2.6k tin

682.7 Electronics + 1365.4 Mech parts + 2048.1 niobium + 2048.1 tin + 682.7 carbon

… 125% ( 2048.1 niobium + 2048.1 tin) = 2560.125 niobium + 2560.125 tin

NPC Archon Remove Gem scanner, Hyperdrive and Warp drive modules.
.................... Replace Capacitor and Reactor modules with class 1 modules.

Capacitor (cl1) ,................ No charge … from class 1 ship stripping
Gravity generator (cl13) ... 2.6k niobium + 2.6k tin
Reactor (cl1) .................... No charge … from class 1 ship stripping
Computer (cl13) .............. 10 Electronics + 10 Mech parts
Electronics (cl13) ............ 20 Electronics
Propulsion (cl13) ............ 1500 Electronics + 6000 Mech parts
Everything else …........... No charge … from class 1 ship stripping
