sounds ok, BUT...

There's no way to designate an area you want the bounty in if placing one. For example, I don't want a plant 5200ly away from me I want one in the Red Zone fairly close the my sector so I can gate it and terraform it and colonize it.

There's no designation for red zone vs non-red zone...some players frown upon us independent types and will never ever come out this way, their loss of course but there's no way to know where the planet by sector is.

Add sector specification, if someone is looking for something between say gluteus and aptic to fill a whole in a gate system then they find the perfect world.

Also, what if you don't want to give data up that you are exploring and find this awesome belted col/nio/neuro system and the perfect terraformable world but you only want you and your buddies to know about it, there no way to keep that information secret with an automated email going to the highest bounty payer. How bout an option to not get paid but also to keep your discovery secret?

Would also be nice if you could cancel a bounty before it's filled and get your money back.

Is the information correct that the bounties I am paying out will be in a soil sample dump later on?

I have paid two lots of bounties which includes any planet explored. I have set no parameters. I set it for 1000 of the 100k bounties. After talking to some, not all planets they sample are they getting paid. I also do not have any of them in my current soil sample dump.

I am doing this for two reasons, one, to build up a database. Two, to boost up the bounty payout for those who are exploring.

I am not worried if I will get the sample list later. I am getting several player soil sample dumps to build the database with. Not all, but some.

Just would like to be sure that it is working and people are getting the payouts.

Once I can see that things are working well, I would like to add some more bounties and pay out millions for certain resources. I would really like sector distance included (Range), but that is a wish for later, I suspect.

Not sure. It doesn't even tell me who paid the bounty.

Me seeing there is a new post in New feature part of forum, hoping there is an update. But no, just RAM bumping an 5 year old thread bragging he earned 0.5% of of 1 Lev load of carbon hauled to LM :(

I would guess those has been there for a very long time, if I understood correctly the largest once will be used first, making this one take a long time before its filled. I have regularly got matches for old bounties I forgot that I put up, but think they are starting to run out now. Most of them were for food planets though.

Has anyone been able to use the bounty system in a useful way?
Since they don't get stored for the one paying the bounty, matches usually is far away from where I need them and a few other issues, I was never able to get anything back from the billions I put into bounties.
